Strome is a small community that had its beginnings with the coming of the railway. Today it continues to provide services and amenities to village and county residents.  Set up for a stay at the Strome Campground, featuring treed sites with fire pits and grills, a gazebo, hall, ball diamond and access to the school playground.

HISTORY
Strome was first established in 1905 with incorporation as a village happening only five years later in 1910. A weekend celebration and video production marked the 100-year anniversary in 2010. A stop at the Sodbuster's Archives and Museum allows locals and visitors to "relive the memories."

ATTRACTIONS & OUTDOORS
Strome offers excellent recreational facilities including a curling rink, outdoor skating rink, ball diamonds, a playground and a Community Hall. The Strome Drop-In Centre on Main Street is a favorite seniors' meeting place well utilized for celebrations, card parties, floor curling, lunches and pot-luck gatherings. Just north of the Village is Wavy Lake, a favorite feeding stop for geese and ducks and a choice area for hunters in the fall.

Set up for a stay at the Strome Campground, featuring treed sites with fire pits and grills, a gazebo, hall, ball diamond and access to the school playground.  Camping is available on a first come, first served basis.  Call 780-384-4118 for more information.
