Event: Planets and Perseids - Perseids Meteor Shower at Elk Island NP

 Enjoy the night sky with enthusiasts at the Astotin Lake Recreation Area after dark! As a member of the Beaver Hills Dark Sky Preserve, Elk Island National Park is the perfect place to view the stars and planets above.

The Perseids Meteor Shower is an annual meteor shower event that takes place over a span of several days. The Perseids are predicted to be at their peak on August 13th, with up to 90 meteors per hour! Visit Elk Island National Park and stare into the spectacular night sky overhead.
