Village of Chipman

Honour the Past, Live the Present, Create the Future

Nestled in Coyote Country just 45 minutes east of Edmonton on Highway 15, Chipman is a quiet friendly, affordable family community with about 275 residents. It has easy access to Elk Island National Park and is considered to be a commuter community to larger centres nearby.

Plan to attend one of the hugely popular Chipman Players Dinner Theatre performances, held each spring at the Chipman National Hall. Don't miss the annual Show and Shine event sponsored by the Chipman Car Crafters. This highly successful event features hundreds of vehicles every year, from vintage cars and trucks to tractors, buses, and fire trucks. In conjunction with this event, the Chipman Historical Foundation provides a tasty perogy lunch. Show off your moves at the annual Lions Club Harvest Dance in late October. The Chipman Golden Seniors offer delicious Ukrainian fare at their Perogy Suppers held on the last Friday of alternating months. See ad below for event dates. See members of the Edmonton Soaring Club fly motorless aircrafts — visitors can watch or experience gliders soaring through the air with professional pilots who lift off from the Chipman airstrip.

Many great events happening all year long can be found on the Go East of Edmonton website events listing page.
