December is just around the corner and our region is packed with celebrations that’ll warm your heart and light that holiday cheer!

Speaking of lights, you’ll want to take in some of the fantastic community light-up events coming up.

If you’re looking for shopping opportunities outside of the malls and chain stores, we’ve got plenty of options for you to check out ranging from unique boutiques throughout the region to craft fairs and special Christmas markets.

Check out the Edgerton Christmas Market, the Vegreville Christmas Bazaar, and the St. Paul Christmas Craft Sale, to name but a few. As well, we have several amazing downtown shopping districts with phenomenal shops to check out, such as downtown Wainwright and downtown Camrose – truly unique shopping destinations with one-of-a-kind boutiques to enjoy.

December also brings many great family events you won’t want to miss. Check out the ever-popular Kris Kringle Celebration in Redwater, the Christmas Train Ride in Forestburg, the Parade of Lights in Daysland, and so much more, all month long.

And of course, what would December be without Santa Claus? You can find him all over the east of Edmonton region, including at the Bonnyville Santa Claus Parade, the Irma Santa Day, and Visit with Santa in Mundare.
