Village of Ryley

The village of Ryley and its nearly 500 residents enjoy a tranquil, small community atmosphere. Just 50 minutes east of Edmonton on Highway 14, Ryley lies in the centre of Beaver County.

Visit the Ryley & District Museum, which is housed in two country schools joined together. George's Harness and Saddlery is a working museum where visitors can see and purchase beautiful horse tack handcrafted by local artisans. Ryley is also home to the only indoor swimming pool in Beaver County, which now has a climbing wall and new hot tub. The monthly Village Market, as well as many other programs and events are held at the Community Centre all year long.

On the third weekend in June, the village hosts the Summer Bust Out Festival featuring a free pancake breakfast, parade, market, baseball, family events, a dinner, dance, and fireworks. Cheer on your favorite team in the Ry/Tof (Ryley/Tofield) Annual Slo-pitch Tournament held September long weekend.

In early December, come out for the lighting of the 46 foot Christmas tree — there will also be hot chocolate, carols, and free skating at the outdoor skating rink.

With a great variety of facilities, the Ryley Sports Grounds are an active place year round. Enjoy phase one of the skate/BMX Park, active curling rink, outdoor skating rink, three slo-pitch and one hardball shale diamonds, two parks and a concession. Visitors can also spend a weekend at the campground. Kids will have fun at the Ryley Lion’s Club Playground or go for a walk at the Earth Academy Park.

Main street is home to niche businesses, such as Ryley Sausage, where you can purchase locally made products. To learn more about Ryley, check out the Ryley video at
