Description:

As you drive through the beautiful parkland in east central Alberta, the village of Irma invites you to stop and stay awhile.

ATTRACTIONS & EVENTS
Learn about the history of the area during a visit to the Irma Museum. The museum is comprised of the original Jean (Elford) Paré house (Company's Coming cookbook author) and a tiny Anglican church. Both buildings are filled with displays of artifacts of days gone by and are located at the north end of Main Street. A new building opened in 2016 with Irving and Doreen Bell's collection of over 400 antique lamps and a wide variety of other artifacts from the 1800s and early 1900s.

On the August long weekend, take in Irma Daze which features a parade, Ranchers' Rodeo, Kids' Zone activities, and bench exhibits. On the second Saturday in December, Santa Day will give visitors a chance to go on a hayride, take in a Christmas market and more. In winter enjoy the town’s indoor ice arena and a four sheet curling rink.

OUTDOORS
Extend your visit and stay at the fully serviced campground conveniently located near the recreation area. Irma is also home to four baseball diamonds, and a nine-hole golf course. In 2014, Irma hosted the Canadian Junior Men’s Fast Pitch Championship with teams from all across Alberta and Irma's Junior Men’s Tigers fastball team won the national championship. The Irma Summerspiel will celebrate its 31st annual spiel in 2017 with teams from all over Alberta competing.
