County of Two Hills Region
Description:Welcome to the County of Two Hills, a diverse region of historical, recreational, agricultural and industrial opportunities situated in beautiful rolling hills near the North Saskatchewan River. The Two Hills region is the “gateway to the north” and a recognized travel route to Fort McMurray. The communities in the region offer a wonderful blend of town and country, offering all the amenities of urban life, while being nestled in an immense agricultural region.
Heritage Park in Two Hills features a bronze statue of local pioneers, Mr. and Mrs. Dowhaniuk, commemorating 100 years of Ukrainian settlement. The Two Hills Historical Society outdoor museum along Highway 36 features a display and items used by the pioneers of the area. There are several community events that take place throughout the year. Growing in popularity is the Agri-Day & Tradeshow planned for April 22. This Canada Day will be a very special event celebrating Canada 150! Bikers are always welcome at the Run to the Hills Rally – celebrating its 10th anniversary this July 14-17. Proceeds from this event have been used to create the Wayside Fallen Riders Memorial Park located along Highway 45 near town. Did you know? Two Hills was named the winner of the Most Rider Friendly Community Contest in 2015. Another event you don’t want to miss is Rodeo Weekend in Two Hills, offering two action-packed days of family fun!
