The Downtown Diner
Featured on Food Network Canada show 'You Gotta Eat Here!'
The Downtown Diner in Fort Saskatchewan is a real gem among area dining establishments and gets regular rave reviews from food bloggers, everyday diners and recently from the show 'You Gotta Eat Here!' aired on Food Network Canada.
This little diner heralds the days of old with its quaint 1950's style interior aesthetic and serves up classic diner style comfort foods like burgers, hot dogs, old fashioned milkshakes, banana splits and so much more. However, chef Keith Bramley, the creative genius behind the menu, has created a splash in the local dining scene by adding unique twists to classic creations.
Take the Diner Dog, for instance. Instead of simply serving a delicious sausage housed in a bun with preferred toppings, the chef has created a brand new dog by encasing bacon and cheese in a flattened serving of pork and deep frying the whole ensemble to perfection. Similar twists are featured on most of the menu options. And who can forget the house-made potato chips?
