The City of Cold Lake, located 3 hours east of Edmonton, is surrounded by natural beauty from its clear blue waters with white sandy beaches, to the rugged forest backdrop. It's a four-season playground that attracts those with a sense of adventure and is home to over 15,000 residents.

ATTRACTIONS & EVENTS
History buffs won’t want to miss the Cold Lake Museum with four large exhibits highlighting the military, natural resource development, pioneer and aboriginal history. Energy Centre is the hub of activity in the City of Cold Lake. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to host sporting events, concerts, trade shows, conferences, and more. The Mach 1 Skate Park is a recent addition, giving a place for youth to board or bike and show off their moves.

Look up to the sky! From May 29 - June 23, aircraft and troops from over 12 countries will participate in aerial exercises during the 50th Anniversary of Maple Flag at 4 Wing Cold Lake (Canadian Air Force Base). Also in June, catch the action at the Stampede. On Canada Day, the City of Cold Lake celebrates with an annual parade and several activities, followed by a spectacular fireworks show later in the evening at the Cold Lake Marina. During the show, the lake acts like a mirror, creating an amazing display that should not be missed. Country music lovers will want to make sure to attend the one-night Toby Keith concert on July 14th. Each year on the August long weekend, the City of Cold Lake hosts Aqua Days at Kinosoo Beach. It's an event with plenty of activities for the whole family. Take in some entertainment or just sit back, relax, and enjoy the natural beauty Kinosoo Beach offers. November ramps up Christmas and holiday events so be sure to enjoy the activities while you get your gift shopping done.

OUTDOORS
Come and explore more than 400 square kilometres of water on Alberta's seventh largest lake, and enjoy the beauty of the Cold Lake Marina. As a year-round recreation area, Cold Lake is the ideal vacation spot for water enthusiasts, fishermen, outdoorsmen, hunters, skiers, and those just seeking a unique get-away experience. The camping opportunities are endless.

For the avid golfer, enjoy the Grand Centre Golf Club or the Cold Lake Golf & Winter Club which provides a beautiful setting for 18 holes, nestled just off Veteran's Drive on 4 Wing Cold Lake. In the winter, the course becomes a winter playground for cross-country skiers and snowshoers. The club also has six curling sheets, which are home to the Cold Lake Curling Club, and other local leagues.
